1XBet Review 2018 – Read our Bookmaker Rating in 5 Mins
Formed in Russia and owned by 1X Corp NV, this bookmaker is one of the quickest developing sites in the world. Its services were launched in 1997 offline, before taking steps into the online market in 2011. The company boasts over 1,000 physical locations. Since the site’s creation, it has amassed over 400,000 unique players worldwide. This is bound to increase as the bookmaker embraces more foreign markets. The bookie provides a healthy number of sports markets to bet on. There are 33 sports to bet on including American football, athletics and Aussie rules football, as well as motor racing, tennis and football. Added to these great sporting choices are casino games from software developers, NetEnt, Microgaming, Endorphina and GameArt. These are some of the world’s most respected providers, so it’s no surprise that players can enjoy great games with exciting gameplay. Throw in a live casino too, and the atmosphere at 1XBet is electric.

The result of the OpenOdds 1XBet review

Although they’re based in Russia, the users of 1XBet’s website come from all over the world, particularly Asia and Eastern Europe. The attraction is clear: a huge range of betting markets and ability to play on the go using your mobile phone has made the bookmaker a tempting prospect for players. If you’re wondering ‘how do I download 1XBet’s app?’ it’s simple. You just click the mobile phone icon in your website banner and download the version of the app you need. There is also the bonus of live streaming, which helps online players watch sporting results as they happen. Sadly, though, site speed has caused this to be inconsistent at peak times, particularly via the live app. We’ve also seen other 1XBet reviews pointing out that live streaming is often replaced with animations, which, while helpful, do not have the same feel as watching a sporting event live. While the site has significant flaws, the website does have some great positives to balance it out, bringing our 1XBet rating up with them.

Bonuses:
All new users can receive up to £90. This is a 100% deposit bonus. Deposit £50, you’ll receive £50. Deposit £70, you’ll receive £70, etc. This works a bit differently to some other sports betting bonuses but getting the 1xBet bonus is easy. Simply register on the website. You then need to place your deposit up to £90 and the same amount will be credited to your account immediately after your deposit has been made. The 1XBet bonus has some terms and conditions attached to it. For example, you can only have one bonus per household and only deposits of £1 or more will trigger the bonus. You also have playthrough requirements attached to the bonus. In this case, accumulator bets are subject to a 5x roll over with bets consisting of three or more legs. A minimum of three of these legs must have odds of 1.40 or more. Maybe not one of the best free bets offers, but still one of the better examples of sports betting bonuses.

Betting Odds:
Receiving great odds are vital for sports bettors who want to shape their betting strategies, so it should come as no surprise that 1XBet has made a mark in this category. Like most bookies, the site has invested in spotting pricing errors, so if you’re looking for these you’re unlikely to be successful. What is great, though, is the site’s wide selection of sporting bets which are covered by live betting. This means that not only can you benefit from competitive odds when placing normal bets, but the site also allows you to take advantage of the shifting odds found with in-play betting. You can cash out early with in-play bets, allowing less risk than normal betting if a sporting event is not going in your favour. As with all sports betting, we recommend checking out bookies’ odds before placing your bet. You can do this easily by using a betting odds comparison checker, such as the one we offer here at OpenOdds to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck.

Customer Service:
Have you ever got in touch with customer service at another bookie only to never get a reply? That won’t happen with 1XBet. The site allows customers to contact them via email or telephone for less urgent queries or alternatively, live chat, which is by far the quickest method. The customer service staff are multilingual, meaning whatever language you speak you will be able to communicate with someone at 1XBet. The site also has a guide on how to place a bet, so even if you’re a beginner you can get the betting started straight away. Despite offering several ways to get in touch, we’ve heard comments that the customer service team can be abrupt when communicating with them, particularly on live chat. While we have not experienced this ourselves, it is worth considering for balance.

User-friendliness:
The site is simple to navigate and attractive to look at. Instant play is also offered, meaning players don’t have to download any software to get going. This combined with an easy-to-complete registration process is a real boost. However, there have been recent customer complaints of site instability with server error messages and game crashes occurring during game play sessions when using a laptop or PC. We have not tested the gaming reliability ourselves, but experienced no server error messages while using the site as part of our 1XBet sportsbook review. The site is organised simply, with a header at the top of the screen with drop-down menus for sports betting, live games, slots and in-house gaming. Users can download the 1XBet app from the top of the screen to play while on the go. This makes the site so much more accessible. All your favourite games from Loot-A-Fruit to Amigos Fiesta, as well as sports betting and in-play bets are available. We think, as betting apps go, this is one of the better ones.

Sports Covered:
The site is very popular in Asia, and the sporting events offered at 1XBet reflect that. Martial arts, such as kickboxing, and combat sports, such as MMA, are offered, as well as eSports, which have a huge following in Korea and China. You’ll also find popular sports, such as football, basketball and ice hockey, as well as a specific section for long-term bets. Here, you can place bets on the winners of football leagues, such as the Premier League, ice hockey championship winners and even place bets on Olympic Games events for the 2018 tournament. Whatever your sport of choice, you’re likely to find a bet here to suit you. There is even live betting on the site, covering popular sporting events like the ATP in Tokyo and Beijing and greyhound racing. But enough on live betting, we’ll get onto that in a minute.

In-play Product:
Live streaming is where it’s at, and 1XBet doesn’t disappoint on this point. You can access live betting using the ‘Live’ tab in the homepage banner. You can also bet on live previews, which is where you will find the sporting events that will be streamed live before they begin. You can place bets on these easily by clicking the event you’re interested in and clicking the odds next to it. For events that are currently underway you may be able to watch video of the event streamed live, so you never miss a moment’s action. If not, animation may lead the way. With tennis, for example, the animation in the 1XZone will show you when serves are made, the positioning of the ball in the game and the current score. If a result isn’t going your way, you can choose to end the bet early by cashing out. This can work the other way, too. If your result is looking good but your fingernails are bitten to the quick, you can cash out to save from stress.

Payment Methods

Thinking, ‘how do I cash out with 1XBet?’ That’s easy! Think of a payment method and chances are 1XBet will allow you to use it to pay. There are 225 different 1XBet deposit and withdrawal options accepted, including 15 cryptocurrencies, eight prepaid cards and bank transfers from 31 countries. You can even pay with cash in one of seven different European businesses. It’s no surprise then, that our 1XBet rating for payment methods is great. When requesting a 1XBet withdrawal, there are 116 options available. This includes 16 e-wallets, five bank cards and mobile payments from 27 different providers. You can even get your money sent to your Steam account, so you can purchase game items with your winnings. Remember though, that some payment providers will charge you to make a deposit or withdrawal, so consider which is the right choice for you. Asking, is 1XBet safe to make deposits to? Make sure to opt for reputable payment choices, such as bank transfer or credit card to protect your cash.

Other Products:
Now’s the part of our 1XBet review where we talk about those little things that make the site different to its competitors. As well as all the great offers on the website and extensive range of sports betting choices, the site also allows you to bet on Super Lotto. For those who are unfamiliar, Super Lotto is a Russian lotto game where you can bet between 10-200 RUB for correctly guessing the numbers drawn in the game. You can choose 5-14 numbers between 1 and 42 for the draw. If you pick the right numbers, you win. Odds are larger on games where you select more numbers. There is also a live casino with software provided by Ezugi. It has a slick, attractive design. You can bet on a whole host of games including Portomaso Roulette and casino Hold’em. Table prices begin small, but there are larger table buy-ins available if you prefer to work with a more substantial bankroll.

Security:
The site’s jurisdiction is Curacao, which is where you’ll find many bookmakers. Unusually, access to the 1XBet website in the UK and most of Europe is done via mirror links because the company does not hold a license for many EU locations. It’s natural then to question ‘Is 1XBet safe?’, and while we are pleased to see gambling regulations adhered to in Curacao, we’re a little bit worried by the lack of licences in Europe, particularly in the UK. We also looked at other 1XBet reviews to see what the betting community thought. Time and time again, the main issues were transparency. We found searching on the site gave little information about their auditing processes. There are also no other seals of approvals, apart from the licence from Curacao. On balance, though, the site has been around for several years, and the gaming industry being as strict as it is, we doubt 1XBet would be able to survive if there were any suggestions of impropriety, and would certainly not be able to offer such a wide variety of legitimate payment options.

Betting Limits:
Betting limits vary depending on the type of bet you’ve chosen to place. Single bets will generally have lower returns, unless they’re real rank outsiders. Accumulators on the other hand have odds that increase as by the amount of legs making up the bet increase. Sadly, betting limits are smaller on the site than we’ve found elsewhere. Some games only allow you to bet up to €20, which restricts the amount you can take home. This is a real disappointment, and has had an impact on the score of our 1XBet rating. Placing bets on the site is an easier affair. Most sports bets have a minimum stake of €1, which is a nice, small sum to test the bookmaker out with. Do be warned, though, that some players have alleged the site lowers odds based on the amount of winnings you have had from the site. While we can neither confirm or deny this, it is worth researching further if you decide to play with the bookmakers.
